Description du véhicule
FOR SALE: DATSUN 260Z 2+2 (4 seats) LHDIn-line 6 cylinder engine (2600CC - 150hp) with 5-speed manual gearbox
Delivered new in France in 1976, where it remained until 2011 when the current owner bought it from a French Z enthusiast (who had it since 2001 and completely renovated the car between 2003 and 2006) and imported it to Belgium. At that time the odometer showed 32.000km, it currently shows 44.800km.
Excellent overall condition with history file comprising invoices, MoT's and registration documents of previous owners back to 1990.
Bodywork: total renovation in 2003-2006 by latest French owner: rusted areas cut out and replaced by new metal, glass out respray (photos available). Remains today in pristine condition.
Mechanics: in addition to a comprehensive mechanical overhaul (2003-2006) under latest French ownership, the car has been regularly serviced by a Belgian Oldimer specialist since 2018 (invoices available). The car is equipped with 240Z carbs and sports a stainless steel exhaust (2019) for increased driving performance and pleasure, as well as a brand new high performance ignition coil and electronic distributor for reliability and ease of use. The car has just been serviced and can be sold with a fresh MoT.
Interior: very nice overall condition, the only default being the cracked dashboard top, which is a common issue on this model. Mixed leatherette and corduroy-like seat upholstery. A discreet modern audio system is fitted, as well as rear seatbelts allowing for safe family use.
The Z has been regularly used both on short and long trips, the last one being le Mans Classic in 2022.
The car is sold with 2 sets of wheels: the Wolfrace ones on the pictures sporting recent Falken tyres (2022) as well as a set of genuine original 260Z alloys in decent order with old tyres.
The car is currently registered in Belgium as Oldtimer and comes with a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) delivered in 2012 in Belgium.
To sum up this is a rare car (around 15.000 units produced), in excellent overall condition, with detailed history file dating back to 1990, with only minimum deviations from its original specification.
